In the early '90's John was one of the featured Bill Young Productions voices and producers of hundreds of Radio and TV spots for national touring acts like Alan Jackson, Def Comedy Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Kenny Loggins, 4Him, Hello Dolly plus hundreds of album commercials covering the spectrum from rock to country for major labels.

In 1991 John was tapped as the image voice of KZLA Los Angeles. That summer began a love affair with Country Radio that has grown through the years to now encompass imaging work from small markets to the voice of the CMA Awards on CBS-TV since 1996. His voice is also heard in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum as part of "Country Music on Television" exhibit as he introduces CMA host Vince Gill on one of the actual telecasts.

In 1995 John became the promo voice for Atlanta-based WCW, World Championship Wrestling. For six and a half years his voice work was heard weekly at one time on five separate syndicated and cable WCW shows. It eventually streamlined to feature "Monday Nitro" on TNT and "Thunder" on TBS Superstation, where his voice was associated with performer packages, national promos and event and merchandise commercials.

With the birth of a new Turner cable network in 1999 John was chosen to be one of the signature voices of Turner South. He's also been featured on special CMT programming, Brooks and Dunn and Garth Brooks radio specials plus MJI syndicated shows.

In late 2000 John began a busy relationship with CNN, CNN International and CNN Headline News. He has been a promo voice for everything from "Larry King Live" to the "Space Shuttle Tragedy" as well as "Saddam Hussein Captured!" to "America Decides," the 2002 elections.

His many voices are also heard on HDNet and HDNet Movies, local TV affiliates like CBS2 New York, Fox 5 Atlanta, Channel 5 Boston, national and local commercials, and dozens of narrations such as Spacecraft Films series about space flight, most notably "The Mighty Saturns."

Through it all the core of his voice-over business is his relationship with Country Radio, where his voice textures aren't limited to one style, but cover the gamut from easy going and playful to emotional and heartfelt to hard sell and intense -- with a pinch of singing and character voices frequently tossed in.
