John's Nicest Accolade Ever! |
John Willyard is the premier radio voice actor in America. You may notice that I said “Voice Actor” and not “Voice Over” talent.
There is a reason for that. John does not paint from the same palette of “voice colors” that virtually everyone else does. He doesn’t even use the same brush. John’s
interpretations evoke imagery, passion and genuine joy. His special talent makes my writing come alive with the kind of expression that is exactly my vision. And most of the time John’s
reads give my copy a vision that I never dreamed of.
He has performed a myriad of styles and characters on my stations. From a blues singing B.B. King to a smarmy “lounge lizard singer” in the vein of
Bill Murray’s famous character on Saturday Night Live. He has done voice characterizations of Bogey, Robin Leach, Rod Serling, The Crocodile Hunter, the
Mel Blanc Characters, Santa Claus, and even God.
John has read my copy for over ten years now and is a major reason my stations are both #1! As Corporate Director of Imaging and Format development for Citadel
I have seen John produce the same results for the 10 other stations he is on in the chain.
If I have a multimillion dollar radio property and I need to stake my success of that station, John Willyard is my first call, my first deal and my first weapon in the
arsenal. That is why John Willyard is THE premier radio voice actor in America.
Sincerely, I am
Edward B. Hill

Gord Eno stated: “ We nailed it! Anyone listening to JR-FM (Canada’s most-listened to country station) this week was
connected to the single most important country music event of the year...having John Willyard on the air with his live and edited reports throughout Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday enhanced the CMA experience for our listeners. An “attaboy” for all of us, especially The Voice Guy!”
This note underscores John’s committment to highlighting the great things about the Country Music industry. During CMA Awards week he voluntarily seeks out and visits the
various live broadcast booths of both client and non-client stations, providing some keen insight and behind-the-scenes excitement into the CMA Awards show.
John Willyard’s voice is actually featured at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in the history of Country Music on
Television Theatre as visitors hear him introducing CMA Awards host Vince Gill to the stage.
