Since 1991 John Willyard has become one of the most sought-after imaging voices for Country Radio. Beginning with KZLA Los Angeles in 1991,
John has been the signature voice of some of the most prominent country stations in North America for well over 10 years in several
cases! His voice has either been associated with or heard on hundreds of country stations over the past decade. Radio consultants have stated that his voice is
routinely heard by 25 to 30 million people. That's just on his country station roster. When one considers the reach of one of his other clients, CNN International,
it is one billion worldwide!
Since 1996 John has been the voice of every CMA Awards telecast, the 75th Anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry broadcast, and the
40th Anniversary of the CMA, all aired on CBS-TV and ABC-TV, with live simulcast on hundreds of radio stations as well as an edited
CMA Awards TV show on BBC-2 and around the world. John was also the announcer for the first "CMA Music Fest" TV Special
on NBC-TV in July 2004
John is one of the promo voices for CNN. For 6 1/2 years he was the promo-commercial-merchandise voice of WCW (World Championship Wrestling).
He has voiced Country Album Radio and TV commercials for an Amy Grant/Vince Gill CD, Eagles, Martina McBride, Clint Black and several
motion picture movie soundtrack CD's, and was the official voice of TV And Radio commercials for the Alan Jackson tour.
He has been a featured voice of past CMT shows like "CMT Classic Showcase," "The CMA Red Carpet," "CMA Party," and radio shows like "Sevens"
starring Garth Brooks and Friends, "The Shania Show," many "Starline" broadcasts from Nashville's Music Row, "Club Country Live."
John's even played Igor against Jeff on "The Foxworthy Countdown." John has also interviewed
Lee Ann Womack on her greatest hits radio special.
John is married to the former Debbie O'Donnell and has two daughters, his eldest having made him a first-time proud doting grandpa with a
Halloween-born baby girl. His youngest daughter is a music performance major. John and Debbie are first year members of NorthStar Church in Acworth, GA.
He's donated his voice for projects at Fellowship of the Woodlands, TX; Mountain Top Boys Home, Calhoun, GA; Victory Junction Gang, Deaton-Flanigen (directed by
award-winning George Flanigen IV), Nashville; and the American Cancer Society plus countless other worthy causes he believes in.
He and his wife have been corporate sponsors to the Cobb County American Cancer Society's Charity Swordsmen's Ball as well as the Harrison High Marching Band, Kennesaw, GA.
